Got a copy of Brian K. Vaughan's Paper Girls last week and I'm taking some quick scans as I'm reading through it at the mo–
Vol 1 was dropped on my lap when I found out that he had a new series out. He's one of my all-time favorite comic writers and thinking back on what had happened to Runaways, I got a little scared and I was like, Did he stop working on Saga too?!
Yarrr I like it a lot so far. It takes place in the 80s and it's toying with some really interesting sci-fi & fantasy elements that I know will lead to something big. Artwork's by Wonder Woman's Cliff Chiang and it's my first time seeing his work. That being said, I'm a huge fan of Brian K. Vaughan's writing and I can't wait to see where this is going because I know he's a stickler for cliffhangers that'll fuck you up I mean - Ex Machina, Runaways, Saga, and of course, Y: The Last Man – which has a TV series in the works omg, yaaas! ♥.
